Waikato District Council Mayor illegally threatens to remove law abiding citizen from public event

Does the Council ask permission to film members of the public?

Provincial hack Matthew Martin of the Waikato Times libels Mr Simpson

Despite not being at the meeting himself, Mr Martin labels Mr Simpson as "rogue" and reports that he disrupted the meeting

1:05 Council Member: "Legal advice says you need everyones permission to film" (He doesn't)
1:55 Mayor repeats accusation that Mr Simpson needs to seek permission (He doesn't)
2:50 Mr Simpson says he won't film anyone without permission. Mayor changes argument.
2:56 Councillor Bill Machen objects to being filmed - despite agreeing to being publically filmed upon entry
